Agnes M. Wentzel

Agnes M. (George) Wentzel, age 95 of Cambridge passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Astoria Place. She was born on March 31, 1926 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late Clyde T. George Sr. and Agnes M. (Nau) George.
Mrs. Wentzel was a 1945 graduate of St. Joseph's Academy in Wheeling. She was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters, as well as the Guernsey County Senior Center.
Agnes is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband Philip E. Wentzel Sr in 2011; three sisters, Edna Mary Laverne Knellinger, Sue Ann Klemm and Margaret Vogler; and a brother Clyde T. George Jr.
She is survived by: four sons, Philip E. (& Virginia) Wentzel Jr of Cambridge, Thomas R. (& Pook) Wentzel of Columbus, Kenneth R. (& Nancy) Wentzel of Delaware and Timothy A. (& Linda) Wentzel of Ostrander; eleven grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and another on the way; a sister Shirley M. (& Alec) Berardnelli of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 11 am to 1 pm at Christ Our Light Parish with the funeral Mass to begin at 1 pm.
