Agripino "Peping" Clemente Pagdanganan passed peacefully at the age of 92 on April 23, 2025. He was born on November 9, 1932 in Calumpit, Bulacan, Philippines and was the second of five children of the late Antonio Pagdanganan Sr. and Pilar Clemente.
Agripino at a young age wanted to become a Catholic priest until he met the love of his life. He was happily married for 68 years to Norma Alalay Pagdanganan, who went to be with the Lord in 2021. They got married on September 19, 1953 and lived together in Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines for 27 years before immigrating to California, USA in 1980. While in the Philippines he was the Budget Officer for the Department of Public Works and Highways. When he migrated to the USA he was the Storekeeper Manager for Marriott Catering until he retired in 1997.
Agripino is survived by his two sons: Reynaldo "Reny" and Agripino Jr. "Jeng"; daughters-in-law: Delia and Tatie; nine grandchildren and their spouses: Kathrina & Jeffrey, John & Toni, Jeremy, Jann, Kimmarie, Arvin & Kristel, Melissa & Criss, Angela & Junnel and Allan; and nine great grandchildren: Kassandra, Kourtney, Kyle, Liam, Enzo, Khalil, Averyn, Shekinah and Lianah. He also left behind many nephews, nieces and their families whom he all loved dearly.
Agripino loved the Lord with all his heart and had a deep devotion to Our Lady of Perpetual Help. His unwavering faith and servanthood heart were undeniable as he served at St. Felicitas Catholic Church. He opened the church doors for almost 40 years, he was one of the founding fathers of the Knights of Columbus for the St. Felicitas chapter, and for many years he led the morning Rosary group. Daddy Peping as he was fondly called by everyone was also known for his famous jello creations. He was a devoted husband, loved to garden (a few of his favorites were his orchids and persimmon trees), and most of all prayed and read the Bible. Daddy Peping was very loving, supportive, generous, and thoughtful to all his family and friends; leaving behind nothing but wonderful memories.
During his final days before our Lord called him home he was always surrounded by his loved ones who prayed the Holy Rosary, Divine Mercy, and listened to daily mass with him. Three of the things he cherished the most. Before he lost the ability to speak he kept repeating the Hail Mary and Our Father.
Agripino leaves a legacy of having a relentless faith, humble heart and fatherly love.
"You will forever be missed, Daddy Peping. We know you are happy now with Mommy Norma and in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Until we see each other again. We love you very much."
