Aida Rojas Medina Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc.. on May 18, 2022.
Aida Luz Rojas Medina, 73, of East Stroudsburg died Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Pocono Hospice House in East Stroudsburg surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Pedro Efrain Feliciano with whom she shared 39 years of marriage.
Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico she was the daughter of Luz Mercedes Rojas Sanabria of Bronx, New York.
Aida came to the United States in 1979 where she pursued her passion and worked as a cosmetologist. She later worked as a food vendor and people came from everywhere to enjoy her "world-renowned" alcapurrias. Aida was a woman of strong faith, was very forgiving, and prayed for everyone before thinking of herself. She loved her family unconditionally. She helped others in many ways without asking for anything in return. She sang the best Happy Birsday song to her children (yes, Birsday). But don't let her fool you; she survived life struggles and several battles with cancer and loved life no matter how hard things would get. It was not uncommon to see her dancing and listening to music. Gardening, art and oil painting were a few of her favorite hobbies and she was constantly surrounded by her beautiful plants.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her mother Luz Mercedes Rojas; children: Damaris Rodriguez-Phillips and her husband, John Phillips, of East Stroudsburg; Vanessa Rodriguez Sinning and her husband Juan Sinning of East Stroudsburg; Aidibell Feliciano and her husband Cesar Villanueva of Bronx, New York; Pedro E. Feliciano of and his wife Denise Gonzalez of White Haven, FL; stepdaughters: Meriluz Feliciano, Elizabeth Feliciano, Gloria Feliciano, Michelle Feliciano, Yvonne Feliciano, sisters: Gloria Rojas of Chicago, Illinois; Milagros Torres and her husband Luis Torres of Poinciana, FL; Ofelia Rojas of Bronx, NY; brother Papo Rojas and his wife, Ruty Rojas of Barceloneta, PR; grandchildren: Valerie Sinning and husband Samuel Pacheco, Johnathan Sinning and wife Jazmarie Sinning, Jhantteil Lopez, Melissa Lopez, Mackenzi Lee Feliciano, Makayla Luna Feliciano, Briana Feliciano, Pedro Feliciano Jr, Emily Feliciano, Melody Feliciano, Jayden Casco, and great-grandchildren: Adriana Wilder, Sophia Castillo, Noah Pacheco, Viah Pacheco, Tikaani Sinning, and Katalina Sinning. She was preceded in death by her first daughter Vanessa Rodriguez.
There will be a viewing on Saturday, May 21 from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc. 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. A service will follow at 4 p.m.
