Aidan Hewer Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jul. 10, 2025.
Aidan Scott Hewer, 18, of New Braunfels passed away Saturday, June 22, 2025, in Victoria, Texas.
A Celebration of his Life will be held Friday, July 25, 2025, at Parkway Church, 4802 John Stockbauer Dr., Victoria, Texas, with Pastor Mike Hurt officiating. It would bring great joy to Aidan's family if the church was full to celebrate his life and share stories and memories.
Aidan was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Carl Hewer, his maternal grandfather, Jerry Haini, and his cousin, Summer Howard-Haini.
He is survived by his parents, Scott and Devin Hewer; his brother, Chase Laux, his sister, Taylor Laux; paternal grandmother, Cindy Hewer and maternal grandmother, Nancy Haini; aunts and uncles, Blaine and Dana Larsen, Matt and Dawn Boggs, and Justin and Stacy Crabb; cousins, Andrew Larsen, Erin Howard, Miles Boggs, Kennedy Boggs, Autumn Crabb and Jensen Crabb.
Aidan loved playing basketball, XBOX, and fishing. He even got to announce the start of a Spurs game with Patty Mills. He attended Victoria East High School and then moved to New Braunfels High School where he graduated a year early in 2024.
Aidan was baptized by Pastor Mike Hurt at Parkway Church. He was always up for adventure and was never scared even though he was often the tiniest on his team, earning the nickname Mighty Mouse, that stuck with him for years. As soon as he was tall enough, he rode every ride he could get on, and for his fifth birthday he took a trip to two big amusement parks in California. When he was seven, Aidan whitewater rafted in Colorado and rode horseback through collegiate mountains on steep terrain. Between the ages of five to thirteen, he also played baseball and tackle football, never fearing tackling even the biggest kids, but his love was always on the court. His fearless side led us with a few visits to the ER, but it never slowed him down. He always made everyone in the family laugh and loved his brother and sister fiercely. Aidan will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
