Aiden Johnathan Mills, age 2, went home to Heaven on Saturday, March 29, 2025 after a tragic accident at home.
Born May 2, 2022 in Honesdale, he was the sweet and loving son of David Mills of Waymart and Justine Van Der Stad of Honesdale, David's wife Nicole Mills, and Justine's companion Chris Benedict.
Aiden was a kind and affectionate boy who loved squirrels and tractors and playing outside. He liked to climb trees and explore the outdoors with his family. Aiden was so incredibly lovable. He was always smiling and full of joy. Aiden was eager to give hugs, and loved to be held. His smile and sweetness will never be forgotten. Although we may never understand why he was taken from this world so soon, we take comfort in knowing that he is safe in the arms of Jesus, and look forward to seeing him again in Heaven someday.
Aiden is also survived by his brothers: Abel, Tousant, and Raheem; his sisters: Addyson and Lily, all at home; paternal grandmother: Cindy Mills of Waymart, maternal grandparents: Gary and Dawn Van Der Stad of Newville, PA, and Dawn Crean of Scranton; paternal great-grandparents, John and Kathy Mills of Hawley; maternal great-grandmother, Bernice Sogluizzo of Pittston; aunts and uncles: Tracy Howell, Jessica Smith, Gavin Phillips, Ashley Burns, and Aaron Van Der Stad.
