"We are struggling to process this sudden loss; it feels impossible that someone who was such a fixture in our lives is gone. He was like a son to me-from church trips and skating rinks to staying in our home, he was always a respectful, kind soul. I am so grateful for the unexpected phone call I received from him just a day before this tragedy. Hearing his voice one last time is a memory I will carry forever. Rest in peace, kind soul."
