Aileen Coldren Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Starks & Menchinger Chapel - Saint Joseph on Mar. 1, 2026.
With deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, "Sallie" Aileen Coldren on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 21 at 1:00 pm at First Congregational Church, 2001 Niles Ave., St. Joseph, MI with Pastor Jeffrey Hubers officiating. The family will receive guests beginning at 12:00 pm with light refreshments until the start of the Celebration. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sallie's name may be directed to the St. Joseph Lincoln Senior Service Center or First Congregation Church. Please feel free to sign Sallie's online guestbook at www.starks-menchinger.com.

Sallie was born on February 2, 1928 in Chicago, IL. She married Richard Anderson and they raised their four children until he passed away. Sallie then married Richard Coldren and he passed away in 2013.

Sallie lived a long and happy life, guided by her love of people and the joy she found in being together. She had a wonderful sense of humor and believed that connection was the true secret to a life well lived. A devoted baker, Sallie delighted in bringing freshly baked cookies or her famous rum cake to friends and family, always sharing something sweet along with her laughter. Her warmth and generosity touched many lives, and her love will remain with us always.

Sallie is survived by her children, Karen (Bruce) Molineaux, Merrilee Anderson, Keith (Gayle) Anderson, and Nancy (David) Anderson; step-children, Thomas (Alice) Coldren and Joanne (Larry) Marchionda; grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Minni," Erik (Rachel) Molineaux, Amelia Cypert, Jospeh Cypert, Elizabeth (Dennis) Frymire, Emma Anderson, Daisy Anderson, Julie Scott, Jennifer Coldren, and Amanda Coldren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Sallie was also preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Irene Wennberg, and step-daughter, Jane Devine.
