Ailene Wainscott Brooks was born on May 15, 1941, to C.E. "Pete" and Annie Cross Wainscott in Non, Oklahoma. She departed this life Saturday, February 1, 2025, in Ardmore, OK. Ailene graduated from Allen High School in 1960. After graduation, she excitedly moved to Seymour, Texas, to live with her beloved sister Lemesa Byrd, her husband David, and their family. During this time, she became a big sister to her niece and nephews. Ailene's first job, which thrilled her, was at the Dairy Whip in Seymour, Texas. It was there that she met the first love of her life, Jerry Haisler. They married on January 14, 1961. The couple initially lived in the Irving, Texas, area, and in 1969 they were blessed with their son, Charles Haisler. Soon after, they decided to return to Seymour, Texas, to build a life and farm together. Working as a team, they grew wheat and cotton until Jerry's untimely death in 1977. After Jerry's passing, Ailene returned to Oklahoma to be near family where she met Sam McAnally. She and Sam were married for over 20 years, and she was a devoted stepmother to Kevin, Rick, and Charles "Scooter" McAnally, and a loving grandmother to Cody McAnally, Katelyn Witten, and Taylor McAnally. In 2006, Ailene found love again and married Jim Brooks. Together, they made their home in Wilson, Oklahoma, before moving to Ardmore, Oklahoma. Ailene and Jim enjoyed camping, traveling, and attending Bluegrass shows. Jim also preceded her in death in 2019. Ailene was preceded in death by her parents CE "Pete Wainscott and Annie Cross Wainscott, her husbands; Jerry Haisler and Jim Brooks, five brothers: Ferman Wainscott, Max Wainscott, Ben Wainscott, Merle Wainscott, and Millard Wainscott; two sisters: Margie Kerr and Lemesa Byrd; and one grandson, Chad Brooks. Ailene is survived by her son, Charles Haisler, and his wife Jessica of Ardmore. She is also survived by three grandsons, her pride and joy: Tanner Atwood of Moore, Oklahoma, and Nick and Cooper Haisler of the home. Additional survivors include stepchildren: Ernie Brooks, Danny Brooks, Annavee Kulberg, and Sheila Thomas; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren; her beloved sister, Lou Janda of Ada; and brother, Morris Wainscott of Allen. She is also survived by bonus daughters; Janet Nickell, Cathy Brewer, Charlene Clour, and Dawna Kay Hutchings-Ailey; bonus sons, Jeff, Charley, and Cecil; bonus grandchildren, Janett New and Kevin Nickell, Kyle and Eric Clour, Chase and Rachel Wainscott: and many cherished nieces and nephews, whom she always claimed as her own. Honorary pallbearers include Roger Byrd, Jeff Hopkins, Kyle Clour, Eric Clour, Jimmy Brewer, Cody McAnally, Chase Wainscott, and Keith Ailey.
