I just read this about the loss of Aimee. I was an employee of Mr. Puentes years ago at instructional Materials Center. Mr Puentes I´m so sorry for your loss she sounds like a sweet person. If she had just one of your qualities I know definitely she was a gem. Be assured that one day you will be together when Jesus brings our loved ones back in a resurrection. Sincerely Marion Watford

Aimée was a once in a lifetime kind of friend. I was lucky enough to actually live with Aimee in communal housing about 9 years ago. I count her among the best friends I have ever had. It is difficult to put into words just how much she helped me as I pivoted in my 50s into a new career. Aimee invited me into her artistic world by arranging back stage access to the SF Opera. She believed in me and proved it with action, and time, and tangible connections and resources. She was indefatigably optimistic. It was a privilege to help her choose outfits and style her for events and performances.
It is not possible to talk about Aimee without hyperbole. She was HILARIOUS! As in professional comedian hilarious, SNL cast member level hilarious. Watching movies with her was a treat because she understood the craft so deeply and offered insights about timing and technique that made the experience so much richer. In my case it is not an exagerration to say she was an angel, when I really needed one. Generosity of spirit, incandescent light, towering talent, fierce loyalty, and an open heart, Aimée had it all. She had that rarest of qualities called CLASS.
I am, quite literally, a supremely better person for having known her.
My deepest condolences for the family's loss. Aimée loved her family deeply and spoke of them all the time. in my presence.
Thank you, Aimee, my precious friend!

I am so saddened by the loss of Aimee. She gave such joy and beauty to all who heard her sing. We were cantors at St. Joseph´s Church in Spreckels when she was only in high school. Her talented mother Marilyn accompanied her. She moved our hearts and souls when she sang Mozart´s Laudate. I will always remember that. Rest in peace, sweet Aimee.
My deepest condolences to all her family.
