Ajene Kai Brodie

AJene' Kai Brodie whose name meant "True Love", resided in Shrewsbury NJ. She attended Charter Academy in Lake C omo and graduated in June 2014. She also studied at Bloomfield University, Bloomfield NJ. She was planning to return to school in September to pursue her Nursing Career. Ajene' had a huge heart of gold and such a great compassion toward children, especially her Sister/cousin children, THE 4 B's and her God sons Chayce and Bryden. She adored both her grandmothers and POP POP. Although grandma Cynthia and POP POP has passed, Ajene' has always cherished their bond and was very sensitive about their relationship. Ajene' made each of her friends and family feel golden and as if they were her favorite person, therefore she has a slew of besties! She was the life of the party and a true foodie. Ajene' and her friends would travel the east coast just to eat her favorite foods and restaurants. To name a few; Riccardo's in Queens, NY: Tops Diner in Newark NJ, Hook n Reel in Brooklyn NY. (Yes, she thought she was a Brooklyn girl) Miss Tootsies PA.. and the list goes on. I would tease her and call her and her friends a bunch of broke versions of Guy Fieri.
Then after too much eating she would fast and be addicted to working out because she did not want to gain too much weight, of course she had her Hollywood image to upkeep. Although she was a city kind of Girl, she loved the Lord, and would often pray, read and discuss the Gospel, as she was baptized at a very young age and was raised in the church. She may have only lived to see 25, and some may even debate the symbolic meaning of 25 that is an unlucky number, however, 25 also means change and new beginnings. Ajene' came from a God-fearing family, so we're going to say 25 years we were Blessed to have her in our lives, and she was a gift from God. She and the rest of us are on borrowed time. And unfortunately for us it was her time. Because of her good spirit and energy, she will always LIVE in our heart with that, we will make the good days outweigh the bad.
Ajene' leaves to mourn her Mommy Dearest, Tracy Dunbar (Warren) of Shrewsbury, NJ. Her father Robert Bryan Brodie of Elberon, NJ. Maternal grandmother Betty Dunbar of Neptune, NJ. Her brother Ryan Kenneth Brodie of Elberon NJ; her sister Mia Brodie of Dominican Republic. Her bonus brothers, Warren "Zaye" Williams and Eric Williams both of Shrewsbury NJ; a bonus sister Candace Williams (daughter Cickenzie); Great Aunt Sarah Alston (Joseph), Tonia Jones (Thomas), Misty Andrews, Yolanda Johnson (Robert) Katrina Davis. Great Uncle Henry Dunbar, Uncles Kevin Dunbar, Brent Harrell, Donnie Harrell, Mark Dunbar and Michael Brodie. Also one nephew Bryson Brodie. Her cat Meow-Meow, who she would kick out her room and he would sneak back in; 2 sisters/cousins, Deja, Alexis and Amir; her god sisters, Ny'chelle, Janiyah, Cynara, Nykeya, and Raniya; Her god brothers Akeem, Torren and Sean (Bookie). Ajene' has been predeceased by her brother Robert Bryan Brodie, Jr of Fayetteville, NC. Maternal grandfather Willie James Harrell of Neptune NJ, her paternal grandmother Cynthia Brodie, of Neptune, NJ. She also will leave to mourn, all of her cousins, several of her other family members and friends! God will never leave you or forsake you; So hold on to his unchanging hand and harp on the works of His Greatness!
