Alain Nelson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bell's Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Lauderdale Lakes on Jan. 4, 2026.
It is with the heaviest heart, deep sorrow, and unimaginable pain that we share the passing of our beloved Alain Jacques Nelson, a husband, father, grandfather, brother, provider, and fighter, who left this world on December 27, 2025.
Alain was a quiet man, not one who spoke loudly, but one whose presence spoke for him. He did not need many words to show love; he showed it through consistency, sacrifice, and a heart that was always open. He was gentle, observant, and strong in ways that did not seek attention. Those who truly knew him understood that his silence carried wisdom, patience, and peace.
He lived a beautiful life rooted in humility, dignity, and faith. Alain believed in God, and he trusted the Lord even through life's hardest seasons. We take comfort knowing that the same God who carried him through this life has now welcomed him home. As Scripture reminds us, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
Above all, Alain was a devoted husband, a loving father, a brother, an uncle, nephew, etc. His greatest pride and deepest love were his wife, Mikette Julien, the woman he cherished with endless affection. Their love was gentle, steadfast, and rare, a love built on loyalty, laughter, and shared dreams. He also leaves behind children, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In true Haitian spirit, Alain welcomed people with warmth and sincerity. He did not need grand gestures; his kindness was simple, genuine, and unforgettable. He made people feel at home, and once you were part of his life, you were family.
Though our hearts ache with his absence, we believe this is not goodbye, but "nap rewè anko". We trust that God has called him to rest, free from pain, surrounded by peace. May his soul rest in eternal light, and may his memory live on in our hearts forever.
Rest in peace, Papi.
