Alan DeWayne Ball, born on November 18, 1974, in Farmington, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at the age of 50. He was a beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend.
Alan's passion for life was evident in his many interests, including an enthusiastic appreciation for SciFi films, Hot Rod cars, and the mechanics of car motors. He often spoke of his dream of owning a Corvette. Alan also found joy in tinkering with electronics and computers. In his earlier years, Alan enjoyed going to various flea markets and thrift stores, searching for hidden treasures and good buys.
Alan was a proud father to his two children, Xavier Ball and Fiancé Alexis Bedore, and Izabella "Bella" (Anton) Francik. He was a proud grandpa to Aliza, Nolan, Evander, and the soon-to-arrive baby Annalyn. He is also survived by his father, Alan B. (Pam) Ball; his sisters, Alanis Ball and Crystal Ball; and a special aunt, Julie Hassell. Furthermore, Alan also leaves behind nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Among his faithful companions was his beloved puppy dog, Indy, who brought joy to his life.
Alan’s adventurous spirit was exemplified by one of his proudest accomplishments: the thrill of skydiving. He lived life to the fullest and valued each moment spent with those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Cheryl (Hawkins) Ball; his brother, Jeremy Ball; and his grandparents, Marie Hawkins and George and Louise Ball.
A time of visitation will be held at DeClue Family Funeral Home in Potosi on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM. Alan will be missed and his memory will be held in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to to DeClue Funeral Home.
