Alan Baugher, 86, of Silver Lake, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Mason’s Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born on July 28, 1939, in Warsaw, he was the beloved son of George and Frieda (Randall) Baugher. He grew up around the Akron area, graduating from Beaver Dam High School in 1957.
Alan worked as a truck driver until his retirement in 2015. In 1996 he would take a trip with his companion Jerry to Alaska on their motorcycle. They were there in the month of July and rode over 7,800 miles. He was a member of the Gold Wing Rider’s Association and of the Bull Haulers Association.
In December of 2003, he would marry Jerry Coley, and they would share their life until her passing in 2005. They would make many memories riding their Gold Wing over the years. After her passing, he also shared his life with his companion of 16 years, Sally (Snyder) Little, who passed in 2022.
Alan is survived by 3 children, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, his sister, Margaret (Jim) Adams, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jerry Coley, his companion, Sally (Snyder) Little, and one granddaughter.
A graveside service will take place on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Graceland Cemetery, Claypool, Indiana.
