Alan Bogden Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home on Oct. 20, 2025.
Alan Lawrence Bogden, 74, of Indiana, PA, passed away at his home on Thursday, October 16, 2025.
Born on July 1, 1951, Alan was the son of the late Betty and Gene Bogden. Throughout his life, Alan had a natural gift for connecting with people. His kind and calm spirit along with his heartfelt hugs will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Alan spent over 20 years as a car salesman with the Delaney Automotive Group, where he built lasting relationships with customers and coworkers. Prior to that, he worked as a general manager at both Ames and G.C. Murphy's, where he also built connections that lasted long after the position..
He was the loving father of Bethany (Matt) Genchur and the proud, devoted Pap Pap to his granddaughters, Alexandra and Sarah Genchur. Alan loved his family fiercely and treasured every moment spent with them. He especially enjoyed attending his granddaughters' sporting events, where he could often be found cheering proudly from the sidelines.
A man of simple joys, he was an avid walker who enjoyed being outside and taking daily walks. His strong faith in God guided him throughout his life, and he always sought the good in every situation-counting his blessings daily and encouraging others to do the same.
Alan is also remembered lovingly by his siblings: Carolyn (Tom) Schaeberle, Sharon (Anthony) Difilppo, Fran (Paul) Binder, John (Ann) Bogden, and Greg (Greta) Bogden. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jackie; his brothers, David (Kathe) and Mark (Lori) Bogden; and his sister, Joan (John) Voytek.
Alan's legacy of kindness, strength, and positivity lives on in those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday, October 22nd from 11 AM until the time of service at 12 PM
