Alan Cole Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 15, 2026.
Alan "Uncle Scotty" Cole passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026 at the age of 63. Born on July 14, 1962 to the late David and Marilyn Cole, Alan will forever be remembered by his eccentric sense of humor, generosity, and devotion to his family.

Alan is remembered with love by his wife, Teresa, of 30 years and their two daughters; Marissa Cole and Brittany (Sam) Smith. He is remembered fondly by his sisters Suzanne Mayens and Karen (Billy) Hammer, Aunt Jeanne (Brian) Marks, as well as his many nieces and nephews.

Originally from Buffalo, NY, Alan was a proud graduate of The University of Buffalo. Upon graduation, Alan worked several jobs before landing in the Pittsburgh area. Here, he obtained his MBA at The University of Pittsburgh and worked many years in payroll and accounting. Personally, Alan was always up-to-date on sports related matters. He shared his interests with his two daughters, serving as the coach of several of their sports leagues. Outside of sports, Alan was an avid reader.

His family will cherish the memories they made throughout the years characterized by laughter, stories, and joy. These memories will forever be cherished by those who loved him most, though he will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held in April.
