Alan Compton Obituary
Funeral service for Alan Lynn Compton, age 72, of West Tawakoni will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Peters Funeral Home in Greenville. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at Peters Funeral Home. Mr. Compton passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at his home.
Alan was born February 18, 1951 in Lamar County, Texas to Earl Devaughn and Nettie Dean (Patty) Compton. He married Patricia D. Kincaid October 1, 1971 in Rockwall. Alan had been a glassworker, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved every day.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Compton of West Tawakoni; brothers, Dewayne Compton and wife, Sue Ellen of Heath, Dale Compton and wife, Kathy of Farmersville; sister, Debbie Shipp of Lake Dallas; daughter, Melissa Featherston and husband, Weldon of West Tawakoni; son, James Compton and Jessica Perry of West Tawakoni; grandchildren, Leonard Elledge and Melanie of Poetry, Sara Lott and Dorothy of Quinlan, Dalton Featherson and Shaila Featherston of San Saba; Harly Featherston and Taylor McDowell of Quinlan; Ashley Compton of Lake Charles, LA, and Victoria Compton of Quinlan.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Nettie Dean Compton.
