Alan Marshall Deariso, age 58, passed away Monday, March 31, 2025.
Alan was born in Atlanta, GA June 10, 1966, to the late Carl Wingate Deariso and Martha Howard Deariso, and grew up in Thomson, Georgia. After high school he attended Georgia Institute of Technology and graduated with B.S. in Textile Science, December 1989. Alan moved to Milledgeville in January of 1990 and worked with Forstmann from 1990-1995. Alan began working at Fowler Flemister Concrete in 1995 where he became Vice President of Sales and Technical Services until 2025.
Alan was a member of Milledgeville First Methodist Church: Agape Class Sunday School Facilitator, Praise Band, River of Life Leader, Confirmand Mentor, leader of Big Al and the Young Bucks praise band, Youth Counselor, Chancel Choir as well as many committees over the years including Board of Trustees, Contemporary Service, Building and Grounds, Church Affiliation Task Committee. He also served as Chairman of Georgia Ready Mix Products Association in 2013 and 2014. He was the Owner of Georgia Slab Moisture Testing, LLC. A member of Lake Oconee Homebuilders Association and Homebuilders Association of Georgia, Chairman of Lake Oconee Homebuilder Political Action Committee, Past Board Member for Wesley Foundation at GCSU and a Eagle Scout.
He truly loved to sell concrete, being outside "piddling," on the Gulf flats fishing or scalloping, reading Shakespeare, studying the Bible, cheering for the Yellow Jackets, visiting breweries, going to concerts and the beach, playing his guitar, enjoying a good cigar, and fellowshipping with friends.
Alan married Diane Hooper Deariso on July 9, 1988, and they share two sons Foster Marshall Deariso (Madelyn Watkins) – Milledgeville; Jesse Boyce Deariso (Caitlin Nestor) – New York; two soon to be granddaughters – Ansley and Avery Graham, and his brother, Gary Deariso (Cheryl) – Augusta.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to River of Life or Music Ministry at Milledgeville First Methodist Church 366 Log Cabin Rd. Milledgeville, GA 31061.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at Milledgeville First Methodist Church. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 5th at 11:00 a.m. at First Methodist Church with Rev. Mac Enfinger and Dr. Stephanie Caldwell officiating.
