I never had the pleasure of being his student at STHS, but he was such a huge figure there, that everyone knew and liked him whether they were in his class or not. Condolences to the family and loved ones.

I went to Springfield Senior High School, class of 1975. Although Mr. Eickhoff wasn´t one of my teachers I knew of him and his popularity. He always had a nice smile and a hello for everyone! I "re-met"him years later in the early 1990´s when he was working for Zieger and Son Roses . He was the kind of person you´d want to be friends with. May you rest in eternal peace. Mr Eickhoff was my AP History teacher in 1977. He was an incredible teacher and my favorite. I still remember his lessons. I love that he was a member of the International Brotherhood of Real Bearded Santas!

Mr. Eickhoff taught me so much in APUSH when I was at Springfield. He was a wonderful teacher that cared about his students. My sympathies go out to the entire Eickhoff family. Rebecca S 1994

I am so sorry to hear of Mr Eickhoff´s passing. He was my favorite high school teacher. I still recall the history lessons he taught where he moved from one lectern to the opposite lectern and told the opposing viewpoints of the countries who were involved in world war 2. He brought history to life and he was always fun to be around. My condolences to your entire family.
