Alan Jerome Frazier

Mr. Alan Jerome Frazier, 68, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024, surrounded by his family at his home in Philadelphia, MS.  A memorial service in Alan’s memory will be held at 2:00 P.M.  on Tuesday, February 20th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Jonathan Peeples officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. To honor Alan’s wishes, he will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered in Alaska, where he grew up and spent many years enjoying the outdoors, hunting, and fishing.  

Alan was born in Louisville, MS, and moved to Alaska while his father was in the service.  He finished high school at West High School in Anchorage, Alaska.  He spent many years in Alaska, where he worked as a supervisor for General Communications Inc.   He loved Alaska and spent most of his time hunting and fishing.   

Alan is preceded in death by his parents, Oran and Odell Collier Frazier.

He is survived by his sisters, Pam (Craig) Foster of Louisville, and Patty (Matt) Jensen of Madison, MS; a brother, Dr. Steve Frazier of Lubbock, TX; and a host of nieces and nephews.
