Alan Harper Brinkley Obituary
Alan Harper Brinkley, 45, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away unexpectedly, Monday, August 11, 2025 at his home. He was born October 29, 1979 in Davidson County, NC. Alan graduated from East Davidson High School in 1998. Alan was one of a kind! He had a heart bigger than life itself.
He was preceded in death by three aunts, Sandy, Martha and Debbie and three uncles, Richard, Jimmy and Billy. Surviving are his wife, Nicole Dunn Brinkley; a stepson, Dunn Shaffer; Alan’s parents, Rita Cox Brinkley and Doug Brinkley; his mother and father-in-law, Cherri and Earl Dunn; two brothers, Gregory Brinkley (Tammy) and Mark Brinkley; cousins, Tanya Draughn (Ricky), Jimmy Cox (Ava), Riley Cox, Crystal Biscoe (Cory), Shawn and Rehana Ali and Jesse and Charlene and two aunts, Annette and Kay.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Chris Brown officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Nicole’s parents, 629 W. Lee St., Yadkinville, NC 27055.
