Alan was born on March 14, 1964 in Kansas City, MO, a son of John and Cathryn Ann (Carter) Harris III. He had lived in Harrisonville and Lee's Summit, MO before moving to Grandview where he resided for the last 12 years. Alan was a 1982 graduate of Lee's Summit High School.
Alan was united in marriage to Mary Ann Rindeikis on April 12, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas. He was an automobile inspector for Manheim Auto Auction in Kansas City, MO. Alan enjoyed camping, and fishing.
Alan is survived by his wife, Mary Harris, Grandview, MO; two daughters, Beth (Johnny) Sutcliffe, Freeman, MO, and Chrissy (Nick Pence) Harris, Raymore, MO; four grandchildren, Ethan, Matthew, Zander, and Gracie; his mother and step-father, Cathy and Wayne Maloney, Harrisonville, MO.
