In Loving Memory Alan H. Hudspeth Funeral services for Alan H. Hudspeth, 73, of Girard, LA were held 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, LA with Reverend John R. Fleming officiating. Interment followed in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Winnsboro, LA. Mr. Alan was born March 15, 1937 in Marshalltown, Iowa to Henry and Lois Hudspeth and passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Glenwood Medical Center in West Monroe, LA after a brief illness. He worked for 33 years for Eldora Training school for Boys in Eldora, Iowa where he resided before moving to Girard, LA. He was the Purchasing Agent for the school. Mr. Alan was a avid Ham Radio Operator. He loved to talk on the radio and he and his wife Melinda were active in the ham radio community. He was also self taught on the computer and spent countless hours on his computer. Alan married the love of his life in June of 2001. He moved to Louisiana to be with her. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Henry and Lois Stewart Hudspeth Survivors include his Wife of 10 years, Melinda Steverson Hudspeth of Girard, LA.; 3-Sisters, Elaine Haywood and husband, George of State Center, IA, Daphne Sears and husband, Don of Union, IA, Melody Stephens of Livingston, MT.; Special Aunt, Doris Williams of Davenport, IA.; Father and Mother-In-Law, Hosey and Maxine Steverson of Winnsboro, LA. and Brother-In-Law, Jim Steverson and wife, Carla of Highland Village, TX. Pallbearers were Larry LaBorde, Keith Ennis, Borden Townsend, Jessie Heorld, Kevin Thomas, and Mac McPherson. Condolences for the family can be mailed to Melinda Hudspeth, P.O.
