Alan E. Knutson

Alan Earl Knutson "Papa", 63, of Kennewick, WA died Apr. 22, 2014 at Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco, WA. He was born Nov. 3, 1950 in Portland, OR to Earl and Dorothy Knutson. Alan was a carpenter. He made his home in the Tri-Cities area for most of his life. "God blessed my Papa with amazing talent. We was a wonderful carpenter, he had great artistry, a whiz at Math, designing, wood and rock carving. He knew how to work with all materials; wood, rock, leather and bones. My dad loved the ocean and nature. He enjoyed building guitars and banjos, as well as playing them. He made bows and arrows and enjoyed shooting his foam deer in the back yard. My dad had a lot of friends. He made everyone feel welcome. He was an easy-going and caring man...mercy and tolerance. My dad was strong. At the age of 62, he could chop wood like a 20 year old." Aimee "I remember when Aimee and I were little...he was leaving out of town for work, and before he left he told us to call him 'Papa'. So, from that day forward we had a Papa. Haha! Papa, I love you and miss you so much...gone way too soon, but Grandma and Grandpa wanted your company in heaven."
