Alan R. Lathrum

Uncle Al was such a good sport. He was easy to laugh and was very good at imitating; voice as well as physical imitations. My favorite memory was from Camp Dodge. I was walking into the armory and i saw Uncle Al standing outside his office having a smoke break. He was heading back into his office and he walked like an ape (knuckles dragging and all). No one else saw that but it was our moment to share. I often think about that ape moment and it makes me chuckle.
