Al and I were classmates in the seminary. He was always good company, and a good example, and I was fortunate to know him. He made good memories for a lot of people.
May God bless and comfort his family and friends.

I treasure my memories of my seminary classmate, Al.
He always brought a sense of sunshine into every conversation. He was upbeat and made me feel that every dark cloud had a silver lining. The last time I saw Al in person was at a seminary alumni day many years ago in Baltimore and he was one of the bright stars of that gathering. I am grateful for the privilege of my too brief encounters with Al.
I will keep his soul in my prayers as well as his family and friends during this time of loss and mourning. He is with the Lord and that is a cause for rejoicing despite the sorrow.
