Alan Miller Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 4, 2025.
Alan was a beloved father, grandfather ("Papa"), son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at the age of 85. Born July 28, 1940 in St. Paul, Minnesota, Alan lived a life during which he touched many people's lives, particularly his family and close friends. Alan graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1963, and later owned and operated JonMark Watermelon Distributors and then took over 2M Company from his Dad, selling music and blank tapes in Bloomington. Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Faye; and brother, Preston. Alan is survived by his children, Jonathan (Lydia) and Mark (Deanna); grandchildren, Keaton (Allison), Kylie (Charlotte), and Scarlet; sister-in-law, Judy; and many other close relatives. Alan's family would like to thank the caring and attentive nurses, aides, and staff at York Gardens, particularly Immani and Josh; the talented and experienced caregivers at Abbott Northwestern Hospital; and the loving, supportive, and wonderful nurses and aides at NC Little Hospice for their care and devotion to Alan during the last year preceding his death. Although the last weekend was incredibly difficult and sad for his family, the warmth and love given at NC Little Hospice provided a beautiful place for Alan's family and friends to gather to support him and be together for each other.
