Alan helped me with my first ever Congressional testimony in 1975-6 and we formed a bond that lasted. Still miss him!

Alan helped me with reports and testimony in his days with Applied Urbanetics. Later, he became an important and generous friend. Kind, bright, and broad. A wonderful person to know.

There are no words to adequately describe the impact Alan Paller had on my life and my career. I am eternally grateful for the 30 years of friendship, mentorship and partnership. He impacted the industry and countless individuals - that impact cannot be fully measured or described. He did so much from "behind the scenes. He was a man of honor, character and integrity like no other I have ever met. He was loyal, faithful and he loved him family very much. We must all carry on the torch that Alan started and nurtured for so long. My heart and prayers go out to his family, especially his wife Marsha. Marsha was a driving force through many years of SANS and the many things they built and nurtured as a team. Their hearts were always to help others, and they did, in many ways that people never realized. My deepest condolences to the family.

Sending sympathies and condolences to the Paller family. Not only was Alan a difference maker in educating and advancing innovation in technology and cybersecurity, but he was also a generous philanthropist making a difference in many lives. He leaves an indelible mark on his community, his country, and the world and will be missed very much. Thank you for the gift of his life and the many contributions he made to so many.

Deepest condolences to his family and co-workers. Not only was he very dedicated to this enormously important issue of cybersecurity, he was a wonderful entrepreneur. I met him first when he created a graphics software firm, which was already his second start-up, as I recall. He be long remembered for creating SANS and helping build it into what it is today.
