Alan Perella Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Casper Funeral & Cremation Services on Sep. 17, 2024.
Alan William Perella, (63) of Leominster, MA formerly of Chelsea, MA passed away unexpectedly at home.
Beloved Father of Ashley Perella of Leominster, MA and Alesha Perella-St Louis and her husband Kenny St Louis of Harker Heights, TX. Beloved best friend and former husband of Lisa Perella of Greenville, NH. Predeceased by his parents William Perella, Marie Haywood and Raymond Haywood.
Alan was a proud Chelsea resident for over 40 years. He loved to serve his community and throughout his time, he was a member of the Chelsea Auxiliary Fire, Chelsea Auxiliary Police, Exulted Ruler for the Chelsea Elks, 1st Male Troop Leader for Girl Scouts and President of Chelsea Pop Warner. He had fond memories of growing up on Bellingham Street.
Alan was well known and respected in the telecommunications industry. What started as a job and a way to put food on his family's table would grow into being so much more. He started with ECC as a tech and ultimately became the Senior Technical Instructor for Comcast. He prided himself on the belief that if you needed something done right or help, you came to Al.
Alan adored his children Ashley and Alesha. They were why he fought so hard and got out of bed each morning. He was extremely proud of the women they have become. The moments, no matter how small, meant everything to him; whether it was a car ride to Walmart, a camping trip, or just sitting in the living room watching a movie. His girls were his world.
Alan loved his dogs Mila and Casper and would often joke about how they were his second children that he loved most! If he was away for too long, he would ask how they were or what they were doing. He couldn't leave a store without making sure he brought them home a treat. He even loved his fur-grandchildren Opal, Theo, Percy, Lulu and Special. He wore a " Proud Papa" shirt just for them!
Alan enjoyed playing gin, and working on his home and yard. He loved to sit out in his yard by fire or on his deck listening to oldies. He was sarcastic, always ready to crack a joke and sometimes the kick in the pants you needed. Alan was always admired for his hard work, integrity, kindness, and love for his family. He was the kind of man that would go without if it would help another in need. If he was needed, he was always there. The world is a little less bright without him. Alan was loved by so many and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Stroke Association in his memory.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Dunn Park 289 Pearl Street Gardner, MA.
All are welcome to celebrate Alan's life.
