Alan Sable Obituary

Published by McGhee-Givnish Funeral Home, Inc. on Dec. 11, 2021.
Alan Andrew Sable, 72, of Upper Southampton, passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 11, 2021. He was born in Philadelphia to the late Louise and Stephen Sable. Alan is survived by his loving children, Kristin Luongo (Michael), Stephen Sable (Jenna), and Alexander Sable (Bianca); grandsons, Maverick and Jagger; sister, Nancy Waibel; loving and devoted best friend and significant other, Debbie Flanagan; and the mother of his children, Joanie Sable. Alan (aka: Mr. Happy, Pops, A-lan, Aloon) was one of a kind. He touched so many lives with his larger-than-life personality, sense of humor, and passion for life. Some of his hobbies included: playing music (played in a band), skiing, biking, and sailing. Whether he was skiing the Catskill Mountains, sailing the Chesapeake Bay, or biking the towpaths of the Delaware canal, he was always up for an adventure. He enjoyed sharing these memories with his children, close friends, and extended family. Alan loved his friends and family more than anything in the world. He was so appreciative of all the positives in his life and always made it a point to say how proud he was of his kids. His smile was contagious, and his personality would light up the room. He was a big jokester and always made everyone laugh with his one-liners or crazy stories as both a probation officer and property manager. A couple of his favorite sayings included, "do not sweat the small stuff" and "wear your smile everywhere." He lived his life to the fullest, enjoyed each moment and cherished the memories made with friends and family. Loved by others, he will never be forgotten and he leaves behind a massive fan club. We love you Captain. You lived a "fabulous" life and we will see you again one day. Services for Alan are to be held privately at his request. Twenty four days have gone by since we were told of your dad's passing. We are still grieving from his loss. It is so hard for those left behind. He was such a wonderful dad, pops, brother, cousin, loving partner and a life long friend. Till we meet again.. . . .
