Alan Shields Obituary

Alan James Shields, 61, of Export, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, after a six-year battle with esophageal cancer. Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Leo R. and Elaine A. Shields; his brother, Brian; and his sister, Elayne. He is survived by his loving wife, Cathleen Ann Shields; as well as his siblings: Kathleen Shields, Kevin Shields and his wife, Toyya, Valerie Shields, and LeeAnn Stotsky and her husband, Derek. He is also survived by his nephew, Joseph; and nieces, Annastasia, Izabella, Nena, Tia, Amanda, and Melissa. As per Alan's wishes, there will be no public services. Funeral arrangements are being handled by WOLFE-VON GEIS FUNERAL HOME, Export.

I was extremely sadden to hear about my cousin Alan's passing after a hard fought battle with cancer. My condolences to his wife Cathleen, my cousin, and his friends.

So sorry to hear of Alan's passing. Next month will be a year since we saw him at the viewing for our father. Your family has always been so special to ours, as we grew up together. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love the Schneider family.
