As Vocational Coordinators, Al and I worked together in the `70´s and 80´s. We spent a lot of time sharing stories about his cabin and fishing up North. There were times, in the fall, when we would all meet up in the evening at Navy Pier to go smelt fishing. We brought a little cook stove where we would cook the smelt, drink some beer and spin some yarns about our past experiences.
Those were the days that fond memories were made up.
Miss you Al and may you rest in peace.

Worked with Al at Morton for years. He will be missed as I have great memories of our conversations and the time we had together.

Carol, Very sorry to hear about Al. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
Al and I were close boyhood friends in North Riverside. His passing brought back many memories which we shared in our youth including a play we performed in and many sports at Komarek school. In later years he tried to get me interested in fishing (unsuccessfully) and I introduced him to cross country skiing.
Liz and I know how difficult it is to watch a loved one suffer from dementia since we experienced it with my mother.
Best to you and your family, Frank and Liz Nejdl
