Alan Wells Obituary
Alan graduated from Irmo High School in 1985 and attended Francis Marion University. He was a hard worker and had lengthy careers with DHL (14 years) and Michelin (over 20 years). Alan was an avid fisherman, who won many tournaments. He also loved animals, especially his dogs, Bell, Drake and Poncho. Alan had a generous heart and assisted many people in need, including sharing his home with anyone that needed lodging. He also never complained and kept his sense of humor during his battle with cancer.
Alan is survived by close friends, neighbors and his immediate family including his parents, Worth and Susie Wells, and his sisters, Edith Wells Lewis and Amy Wells Owens, brother-in-law, Ernest (Brick) Crosby Lewis, Jr., and nephews, Ernest "Crosby" Lewis III and Wells Lewis.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 12:00 pm, at Salem United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall 1321 Salem Church Road, Irmo, South Carolina 29063 with the memorial service following at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society.

Alan was our neighbor.......our family enjoyed his visits. He will be missed by not only us but everyone that knew him. I find myself looking out the window to see if Alan is home. He is home, in his Heavenly Home. To his mom, dad, sisters and friends, we are so very sorry for your loss. What an honor to have known Alan. God Bless you all.

So sorry to hear this news.... I loved the close neighbors we had growing up. Our street was a safe zone. You could visit or call at anytime. I still remember 3 houses home phone numbers & one was y´all´s! Great memories from great people R.I.P. Alan
