Alan Frederick Yarnell

Alan Frederick Yarnell, age 73, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 1, 2026. Alan was an incredible individual who faced life's adversities with courage and strength. Despite being born deaf, his mother was determined to make sure he received a good education, and he proudly graduated with his bachelor's degree from ETSU. Alan accepted the Lord and was baptized at an early age. He loved music and reading books. Alan worked for many years as a CNA and in physical therapy in several area nursing homes, and later worked at the Dandridge Welcome Center.

Preceded in death by his father, Carl F. Yarnell Jr.. He will be greatly missed by his mother, Mary Pate Yarnell; siblings, Carol Yarnell; Marianne Avent (Jay), Vivian Adams (Danny), and Michael Yarnell (Joy); nieces and nephews, Julian Avent (Shin), Ashley Elkins (Stephanie), Travis Elkins (Emily), Taylor Adams (Kathryn), and Noah Yarnell; great-nieces and nephews, Gray Elkins, Ethan Elkins, Sloane Elkins, Emilia Elkins, and Finley Elkins.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:30 AM in the chapel of Fielden Funeral Home in New Market. He will be laid to rest in the Mouth of Richland Cemetery in Blaine.
