Alan Young Obituary
Alan Dale Young, 73, of Metropolis, Illinois, passed away Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025, at 8:38 p.m. at Metropolis Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Alan was a member of First Methodist Church.
He is survived by his brother, Paul Kelly Young, and his wife, Judy; nephew and niece, Paul David Young and his wife, Rebecca, and Kelley Ann Young; great-nephew, Bryce Johnson, and his wife, Kayley; great-nieces, Cara Isabel Young and Emily Paige Young; great-great-nephews, Bryley Johnson and Bronx Johnson; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Brasher and Dorothy L. (Sielbeck) Young; grandparents, Willie G. and Alice (Melcher) Sielbeck and Ellis and Mattie (Allgood) Young.
Graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, at Metropolis Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Joey Dunning officiating.
Memorials may be made in Alan's name to Easterseals of Western Kentucky, 801 N. 29th St., Paducah, KY 42001.
