Alberick R. Labbe, beloved husband of Rita M. (Gregoire) Labbe, a resident of Tewksbury and formerly of Dracut, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017, at the Lowell General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was 94. Born in Canada on August 5, 1922, he was a son of the late Albert and Emilia (Nolet) Labbe. Alberick was a WWII Army Veteran, having served as a medic and never carrying a weapon in battles in France and the Battle of the Bulge in Ardennes. Alberick was awarded the Bronze Star for heroism in the battle of Angiers, France August 9, 1944. He also helped his fellow soldiers communicate with the French citizens. He was a communicant of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Church, and currently Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish. Prior to his retirement he was an electronics supervisor for the Foxboro Company and had a passion for electronics, home repair and crafts and could fix just about anything. Alberick and Rita enjoyed many years wintering in Florida, and camping 40 years at Wyman's Beach in Westford. Most of all for Alberick, he loved his family and was a devoted husband to Rita as they celebrated their 70th Anniversary this past October. Surviving Alberick besides his wife Rita are their two sons and daughters in law, Robert and Claire Labbe of Endwell, NY, Donald and Paula Labbe of Woburn; six grandchildren, Renee Baxter (Kevin), Sean Labbe (Lynne), Laurie Lilly (Jason), Alan Labbe (Pamela), Jonathan Labbe (Allison) and Paul Labbe; eleven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Edward, Urbain, Lucien, Hildege, and Herve Labbe.

The nicest couple...glad to have known them at the Sr. Ctr. in Chelmsford. I poured coffee for them at lunchtime.
