Albert Joseph Cassidy, Sr., age 91, of New Castle, passed away the early morning of Sept. 16, 2026, at Haven Convalescent Home.
Born July 16, 1935, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Mont Carl and Mary Anna (Moltz) Cassidy.
Albert faithfully served in the United States Army. He worked as a slitter operator, employed by Blair Strip Steel, until his retirement. Albert loved being outdoors, working in the yard and cutting wood. He enjoyed spending time with his dog and his family.
Survivors include his partner, Marylou Vannatten; two daughters, Jodi Cassidy, and Susan (Troy) Cameron; two sons, Albert J. Cassidy, Jr., and Kevin (Kristen) Cassidy; two sisters, Mary Ellen Cassidy, and Josephine Cassidy; 11 grandchildren, Melissa Cassidy (Justin Mastrantuoni) AJ Cassidy III, Julie Cunningham, Valerie Pavelko, Rocky Grim, Jr., Deric Lewis (Gab), Cody Lewis, Jacob Cassidy, Kevin Cassidy, Jr., Kenny Cassidy, Kaitlyn Cassidy; 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Walt, Leroy, John, and Fred Cassidy, and one sister, Jill Cassidy.
In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation or services.
Burial will be at Savannah Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be offered to the Lawrence County Humane Society, P.O. Box 62, New Castle, PA 16103.
