My family and I met Mr. Coleman 3 years ago he lived half a mile from us on our old Country gravel road.

I first met Al in the 60s in my young career as a vocalist. He allowed me to grace the stage at Al's British Lounge during the time it was "the place for good jazz and soul music." His encouragement and affirmations in my gift catapult me to greater heights. His love of music, kindness touched many. I count it an honor and a privilege to have known him and called him a friend.
