Albert Delancey

Albert Lewis Delancey, Sr., the son of Judson Milton Delancey, Sr. and Clara Elizabeth (Holman) Delancey, was born on Saturday, September 2, 1944 in Newark, OH. He was educated in the Licking County OH School System. Albert was a truck driver for many years. Albert served as the former Treasurer for Friends of Dillon State Park; former V.I.P. Ohio for Dillon State Park, Zanesville, OH. Albert was a U.S. Army veteran who served our great country during the Vietnam War, and he earned several badges including Marksman Rifle (M-1) AND Marksman (AR). He enjoyed volunteering for parks, fishing, boating, and donating musical instruments to schools and wagons to children's hospital.
In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in eternal rest by his brothers, Tom Delancey, Sr., George Delancey; sisters, Delores Dotson, Deborah Garvin.

He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Betty Delancey; son, Albert, Jr. "Bo" (Jennifer) Delancey, Newark, Ohio; daughter, Tina M. Osborn, Newark, OH; step-daughters, Amy A. McClain, Crescent City, Deborah (Daniel) Brewer, Newark, OH; grandsons, Steven (Laura) McVicker, Leavenworth, KS; Daniel Jacob "DJ" Gabriel, Newark, OH; Brian Naylon, Newark, OH; Shawn McVicker, Oregon; Grayson Long, Newark, OH; granddaughters, Jessica Delancey, Newark, OH; Jennie "Nina" Gabriel, Newark, OH; Kristen (Jake) Jones, New Lexington, OH; Leah Price, Newark, OH; Madison Long, Newark, OH; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Judson Milton Delancey, Jr., Newark, OH; sister, Leona Dollison, Newark, OH; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A private family memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
