Albert N. Fleming

Albert N. Fleming, age 79, of Gerald, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Mercy Hospital in Washington.

Albert was born July 11, 1945, on Saint Martin Island, a son to the late Emanuel and Margaretta Fleming.

Albert graduated chef school as a young man and worked in the culinary arts for 50 years. He had worked at various restaurants in Texas, Florida, and California and spent almost 25 years in Las Vegas. Albert was employed at the Hilton, Rio and at Caesars Palace in Vegas where he got the pleasure of meeting Frank Sintra as well as the rest of the Rat Pack. Following his experiences in other parts of the country, Albert settled in Gerald and opened the Chefs Skillett with his wife Judy.

Albert enjoyed collecting antique advertising tins, playing blackjack and keno, watching the news and reality shows and was a fan of anything Paul Newman. He had a great sense of humor and loved life. Albert was generous to a fault and loved taking care of Judy and Marla. He will be missed greatly by those that knew and loved him.

Albert is survived by his wife Judy, and his daughter Marla as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and two sisters.

Graveside services for Albert will be on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 in the Grovedale cemetery beginning at 1:00 p.m.
