Albert Leslie Harwood III

Albert Leslie Harwood lll, age 84 passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at his home in Foxborough MA.
Albert was born on July 29, 1940 in Newton, MA. He was the first born son of the late Henry and Margaret (May) Harwood and was raised in Waban, MA. He was a long time owner/operator, most recently of AFM Logistics in Foxborough MA. Albert was a Life Member of Mansfield Fish & Game. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling on trips to Alaska, Canada and Maine. He always looked forward to spending time at the family camp in Wayne, ME. where Al quickly developed his love of nature, animals and food. In his teen years, he could be seen waterskiing across the Lake with his friends, enjoying campfires, fishing and hunting. He also spent many years drag racing in the late 50's and 60's, with the "1320 Engineering Company" drag racing team. He started this with his 2 partners, setting the best track record of his time. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family, which was the center of his attention in his daily life.
Left to remember him are numerous friends and family whom he held deep in his heart. His wisdom, humor and fun-loving character were welcome wherever he went and will be greatly missed. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.
He was the loving father of Albert (Albie) Leslie Harwood IV of Brewster, MA; Lawrence (Larry) Conlin Harwood and his wife Gretchen of Waterville, ME; James (Jamie) Robert Harwood of Fall River, MA; Jason Matthew Harwood and his wife Amy of Franklin, MA; Danika Louise Harwood of North Smithfield, RI; Rachel May Harwood of Bellingham MA and the late Henry Harwood II and Margarette Elizabeth (Peggy) Harwood. Beloved grandfather of Matthew, Miranda, Shayna, Lauren, Lawrence (Larry), Henry, Hunter, Ashley, Kristin, TJ, Kayleigh Anne, Easton, Kayleigh May, Alyssa, Bryanna, Kayla, Audriana, Brian, Thomas, and Tyler. Great grandfather of Jack and Savannah. Devoted brother of David Harwood and his wife Nancy, William Harwood and his wife Jane, Priscilla Kalgren and her husband Steve, Jane Harwood, and the late Beth Harwood and her husband Kendrick, Gordon Harwood survived by his wife Jean and Kenneth Harwood survived by his wife Linda. He was also the devoted uncle of many nieces and nephews.
