Albert "David" Jones

Albert "David" Jones, 85, of Chattanooga, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 9, 2025. He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Albert & Mary Jo Jones and had lived in the Chattanooga area for most of his life. He was a graduate of Kirkman Technical School, Class of 1958 and had previously owned his own Phillips 66 gas station back in the 60's & 70's. He was employed with the City of Chattanooga Public Works for more than 17 years as the Head Mechanic and was a man after God's own heart. He was a true Tennessee Vols fan and enjoyed fishing, bowling and was known for always helping anyone in need. He was a very knowledgeable man, that could do anything he put his mind to and he will be truly missed by all who knew him. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lynda Sue Cochran Jones and his step-mother, Doris Jones who had raised him since he was 14 years old.
Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer & David Hill, Jawana Templeton and Jabrina & Johnathan Willard; brother & sister-in-law, Jerry & Vickie Jones; 5 grandchildren, Amber & (Eric), Billy, Gracie, Sammy and Amy; 2 great grandchildren, Dakota and Sylas; niece, Mandie Jones; 2 great nieces and numerous extended family & friends.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday in the Hamilton County Memorial Park, 8900 Dallas Hollow Road, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1 – 7 p.m. and Thursday morning from 9 – 11 a.m. at the funeral home. An Online guest book can be found at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com. W. L.
