Mr. Albert Turner Jones, age 83, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at his residence.
Albert was born on January 8, 1943, in Columbia, Tennessee, to the late Joseph Albert Jones and the late Helen Sullivan Jones. He was a 1961 graduate of Central High School. A lifelong cattle farmer, Albert never met a stranger. He also owned Riverbend in Centerville, a beloved local dance venue where he enjoyed spending time dancing.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Johnson Jones; son, Draa (Jamie) Jones; daughter, Diane Walker; brother, John (Sandra) Jones; sisters, Kay (Jimmy) Humphrey and Annette (Paul) Ledbetter; sisters-in-law, Linda Lasley and Wanda Lane; grandchildren, Jason Jones, Casey Springer, Ashley Jones, Lauren Stewart, and Luci Boshers; fifteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Frank Jones.
The family and friends will gather for a celebration of his life at a later date.
