ALBERT L. ROOT VI

1968 - 2025

Albert L. Root IV, 57, of Jonestown, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025, surrounded by his family and friends. Albert's journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering kindness towards anyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born in Wellsboro on March 1, 1968, he was the son of Albert L. Root III, of Wellsboro and the late Linda P. (Lark) Root. Albert graduated from Wellsboro High School with the Class of 1986. He did environmental work for over 20 years and worked as an auto mechanic at D.E Richard Garage for the past 15 years. He enjoyed cruising in his 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner and the many trips he took with his friends on his Harley. But most of all, the most fulfilled days of his life were shared with his pride and joy, his daughter, Katelyn.
He is survived by his only daughter, Katelyn A. Root and her husband, Alex Achey of Myerstown; sister, Lisa A. wife of Mark Hatz of Oxford, Ala.; uncle, Jim Campbell of Annville; and friends, Bruce and Amy Williams and Brian Neidig who were like siblings to him.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, at Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. A visitation will start at 4 p.m. until the start of the service.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 1, at Fredericksburg Fireman's Park, 2652 S. Pine Grove St., Jonestown from 12-4 p.m.
The family has asked for everyone to come wearing your favorite shirt, one that reminds you of your best times with Albert. If you have a classic car or motorcycle, bring it along, as nothing would make him smile more. Albert asked for everyone to gather in an upbeat and happy setting, one in which we all will remember him.
