It´s an honour to share in remembering Uncle Bert. I´m learning for the first time that Opa had 14 siblings and that Bird was number three! It´s been wonderful hearing about the warmth, humour, and character that shone through him-a spirit that seems to run through the Vanderheyden family.

What a gift it is to have the opportunity to connect with our lineage and learn more about our family, even in such a sad circumstance. Sending love, empathy, compassion, and joy to you all as we come together during this time

We have fond memories of Bert and their family when we moved to Fort Pierce Florida in the early 80s they immediately took us in. We enjoyed their company and friendship. We know we will see Burt again. It´s just the waiting, that´s the hard part for us. Love to all, one of Jerry and Reba Plummer´s boys.
