Albert Veselicky

1939 - 2025

Albert Veselicky, 86, of East Vandergrift, passed away Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, in the Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. Born July 26, 1939, in North Vandergrift. Albert was a math teacher at the Kiski Area Senior High School for 40 years, where he was also the baseball coach and golf coach. He had also announced the Kiski Area Cavalier Football Games for many years. He enjoyed gardening and his fishpond along with golfing with his brothers and friends at the Vandergrift Golf Course, where he had been a member for many years and had also been a member of the East Vandergrift Slovak Club. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Darlene Gumbert Veselicky, and two sons, Michael Todd Veselicky and Scott Veselicky; his grandson, Tyler Veselicky; three sisters-in-law, Loretta Veselicky, Millie Veselicky, and Marlene Jastrzembski; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank K. Veselicky and Camilla Biernat Veselicky. Three brothers: Joseph, Rudy, and John Veselicky. Three sisters: Irene (Paul) Ruzbacki, Mary (Alvin) Mazanek, and Margaret Veselicky. Family and friends will be received from 3 till 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, in DUNMIRE-KERR & ROWE FUNERAL HOME INC., 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, with Pastor Lee Rupert officiating.
