Albert Webb Obituary
Born October 18, 1913 in Trenton, SC, he was the son of the late Iva A. Webb and Mattie Holand Webb.He retired after 31 years from the Army Corps of Engineers.He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hartwell and the Doc Adams Sunday School Class.He was a former member and Deacon of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Trenton, SC.He was also a member of Masonic Lodge (Shepard Lodge #320), Active in Boy Scouting and served as Scout Master, played tennis until age 85 and was a former member of Hartwell Lions Club.
He is survived by:Wife, Launa Bailey Webb of the home; Son, John A. Webb of Hartwell, GA and Stepdaughter and stepson in law Johnny and Sandra Bruce.He is preceded in death by his Parents; 1st wife, Marcesta Hook Webb of Hartwell, GA; Sister, Cornelia Jones Webb, Columbia, SC; and Brother, Roy A. Webb, Lakeland, FL.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, June 26, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. at Hartwell First Baptist Church.Dr. Steve Williams, Rev. Carter Tucker and Mr. Johnny Bruce will officiate.
The family will receive friends Friday from 3 – 4:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.The family is at 130 Vickery Street, Hartwell, GA.Memorials may be made to Hartwell First Baptist Church, 81 E. Howell Street, Hartwell, GA30643.
