The youngest daughter of Howard and Hazel (Reese) Dunbar was born January 31, 1946, in Columbus, Ohio. Ms. Davis received her formal education from Columbus City Schools. A graduate of North High School, she excelled in literature, mathematics, fashion and track.
Residing in Columbus Ohio, Ms. Davis, 79, passed away on March 31, 2025. In addition to her parents, Ms. Davis was preceded in death by her grandmother, Alberta Cross; brothers, Howard Dunbar Jr., James Dunbar and Charles Dunbar; aunts, Catherine McDaniel, Margaret Barnes, Lavon Reese; uncles, Nimrod Reese, Emmett Reese, Cardell Reese, and Eugene Reese; Ex Husband, Floyd Davis; cousins, Candy Reese, Libby Reese, Gregory Reese, Douglas Reese and Alonzo Reese; nephew, Terrell Dunbar; good friend, Leroy Gee.
Loving memories are cherished by her sons, Keith Davis, Floyd Davis and Masud Olufemi; grandchildren, Floyd Davis Jr., Andre Davis, Philip Davis, Jalen Davis and Jayna Ellis; great-grandchildren, Floyd Davis III, and Kuromi Davis; sister, Catherine Dunbar; sister (IL) Iola Dunbar, Charlene Reese; cousin, Jennefer Lee, Stephanie Reese; sister-friend, Catherine Nichols, nieces, Daffney Dunbar, Lucretia Dunbar, Quatessia Reese-Barksdale, nephews, Dax Dunbar, Dana Featherstone and many other family members and dear friends.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a Funeral Services immediately following at Diehl-Whittaker Funeral Service, 1370 East Main Street, Columbus, Ohio 43205. Burial will process to Evergreen Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
