Alberta Egloff Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service - Goldsboro on Jan. 14, 2026.
Alberta Rose Barr Egloff, 92, passed away on January 3, 2026 at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro, NC. Born in Broome County, New York, she was the daughter of the late Albert Barr and Rose LaStella Barr.

In addition to her parents, Alberta is preceded in death by her twin brother, Albert Barr, Jr.; and grandson, Shane Bennici

Alberta is survived by her children, Brian Lewis Pitts (Catherine), Brenda Kaye McGraw (Thomas), George Laurence Egloff, Jr., and Philip Barr Egloff (Sherrie); grandchildren, Brian Pitts, Brenda Pitts, Joyce Taylor (Will), Leanna Santiago (Edwin), Angelica Menster (Zach), Amber Fuller (Jackson), and Andrew McGraw; and great-grandchildren, Wyatt Santiago, Conner James Stone, Christianna Lorraine Pistolis, Adriana Mae Bennici, Bristol Bradley Bennici, and Haylee Jane Bennici.

Alberta was a loving mother whose life was defined by her devotion to family and her joy in bringing people together. She had a true love for shopping and an even greater talent for hosting-throwing parties that were filled with laughter, warmth, and a sense of togetherness that made everyone feel welcome.

Above all else, Alberta deeply loved her children, and they were the center of her world. She took pride in caring for her family and creating memories that will be cherished for generations.

One of the family's fondest memories is of Christmas time in the 1980s, when everyone gathered together to celebrate the holidays. Those seasons were filled with joy, tradition, and togetherness, leaving behind lasting impressions of love and happiness that remain close to their hearts.

Alberta's legacy lives on through her children and all those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her love of celebration, and the unwavering love she gave to her family.

Alberta will be laid to rest at Riverhurst Cemetery in Endwell, NY.
