Alberta Funk

Alberta Funk, 84, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Sharon Hospital. She was born on February 24, 1938 in Walton, New York to the late Herbert and Sarah (Gilbert) Mason.
Alberta and her late husband Floyd ran a wood business in Stanfordville, cutting firewood and fencepost for many years. She also worked for Quattro's farm store in Pleasant Valley and did upholstery work as well. She was a loving and wonderful mother who was always kind and generous.
Alberta is survived by her children, Sarah Wheeler, of Amenia, Gerry Funk Sr., of Stanfordville, Brenda Funk, of New Jersey and Laura Funk, of Millbrook. Seven grandchildren; John, Sara Lee, Jake, Josh Wheeler, Jerry Funk Jr., Jeffrey Funk, and Christina Derby. Eight great grandchildren, John, Kenneth, Hunter, Peyton, Hope, Kaci and Rebecca Wheeler, and Savannah Derby. Also surviving is one brother, Paul Baker of Walton, New York.
In addition to her parents and husband, Alberta was also predeceased by her sons Thomas Funk and Floyd Funk Jr. & son in law John Wheeler.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30pm on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at the Evangelical Free Church, 2450 Salt Point Turnpike, Clinton Corner, NY.
