Alberta Kay Singleton Lamm, 81, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the United Hospital Center.
She was born in Clarksburg, on February 21, 1943, a daughter of the late Matthew and Anna Mae Wilson Singleton.
Kay was married on September 16, 1960, to William G. "Bill" Lamm who preceded her in death on June 7, 2015.
She is survived by three children, Kimberly "Kim" Castor and husband Rick of Mount Airy, MD, William G. "Greg" Lamm of New Mexico, and Scott A. Lamm and wife Glenna of Crooked Run; seven grandchildren, Lindsey Young and husband Matthew, Stephanie Brekstead and husband Ivan, Presley Lamm and fiancé Jake Price, Gracey Lamm, Ashley Lamm and fiancé Alex Elizondo, Kendall Castor, and Landon Castor; and four great grandchildren, Kaylee Young, Violet Lamm, Miles Price and Berkley Young. She also leaves behind her brother James Singleton and wife Elinore of Locust Heights, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Singleton, Jerry Singleton, and Bobby Singleton; one sister, Jean Hurst, and one granddaughter, Brittney Lamm.
Kay was a graduate of Victory High School, and retired from UCAR where she served many roles but primarily payroll secretary.
Kay enjoyed playing the slot machines, which she only admitted to when she won. She and her best friend, Kathy Amodio and her sister Nancy, enjoyed eating at various restaurants, and she was referred to as the "Chief Neighborhood Watch". She was a great cook and loved having her entire family for meals, but above all she adored her grandchildren and loved following their sports, as well as facetiming with her great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

I met Kay when I moved across from her. We became friends. She was always laughing and telling a story. She always liked my weeping cherry tree and said it never looked the same when I left. I love and miss you, my friend.
